Ulrike was born and raised in Vienna, Austria.  From an early age on she was exposed to the arts, as her mother was an artist.  She followed her to many art classes and events.  Already in elementary school, teachers noticed her special talent.  Throughout the years she has continuously studied art and experimented with various artistic media, such as charcoal, pen and ink, Chinese brush, and others. Watercolor became her medium of choice.

While raising a family and pursuing a career as a physical therapist, art remained an abiding interest.  An extended stay in Europe in the late 1990s provided inspiration and prompted a career change. Her art has evolved under the tutelage of national and internationally renowned teachers and through her own drive, determination, and love of these endeavors. She is an active member of both the Southwest Washington Watercolor Society and the Society of Washington Artists. She is also an active board member of the Second Story Gallery in Camas, and particularly enjoys hanging the monthly art shows.

Ulrike shows and sells her art in public and private venues, in the United States, Europe, and has won numerous awards.

Ulrike and her husband Lloyd divide their time between residences in Camas, Washington and Sacramento, California
